Ajovy (fremanezumab) is an injectable medication used to prevent migraines in adults. The typical dose is either 225 mg injected under the skin once per month or 675 mg injected under the skin once every 3 months.
Store it in the refrigerator, don’t freeze it. Before injecting yourself, take the prefilled syringe out of the refrigerator and lay it on a flat surface to warm up for at least 30 minutes. Don’t try to shake or warm up the medication any other way. If you’re traveling and don’t have access to a refrigerator, Ajovy (fremanezumab) can be kept at room temperature for up to 7 days. Don’t put it back in the fridge after it has reached room temperature.
Side effects: Rare , pain at injected site, hives or rashs , lip swollen. Severe reaction , even rare but can occure , so consult doctor whenever this happened.
